Client: Climate Reality Project
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia | 2 and 3 October 2025
Focus: Climate leadership, public engagement, climate advocacy
Mongolia hosted a high-profile visit by H.E. Al Gore alongside the announcement of Climate Reality leadership training for Mongolians. The engagement required a disciplined communications approach to position the visit as both a diplomatic milestone and a catalyst for national climate capacity-building.
EMPR was appointed to design and deliver a comprehensive media and public outreach programme to set the tone for the visit, ensure message discipline, and maximise national reach across media, civil society, and professional networks.
EMPR implemented a multi-layered communications plan, including:
Strategic media planning and narrative development
Official media announcements and press coordination
Broadcast, print, and digital media engagement
Production and distribution of official video and explainer content
Targeted news seeding across climate policy, civil society, youth, professional, and government-linked communities
Coordination of a flagship national television interview on TenGer TV
EMPR secured coverage across leading Mongolian outlets, including national broadcasters, business media, digital platforms, and print publications. Outreach extended beyond traditional media into semi-organised climate, youth, and professional networks to reinforce credibility and public understanding.
Over 50 pieces of media coverage across broadcast, online, and print platforms
Strong national visibility for both the visit and the Climate Reality Ulaanbaatar training programme
Consistent framing of Mongolia as an emerging climate leadership hub
High engagement from civil society, youth leaders, environmental journalists, and policy communities
Strengthened relationships with key media and stakeholder networks
The campaign successfully elevated the visit from a standalone event to a broader narrative on climate leadership, skills transfer, and long-term capacity building. EMPR’s structured, government-grade communications approach ensured clarity, credibility, and sustained public attention.
